Description: 
Erect subshrubs with branched, crisped white hairs. Leaves apparently whorled, lanceolate; stipules very small. Inflorescences terminal, paniculate, bracteate cymes. Flowers bisexual, relatively large; bracteoles 2. Sepals +/-19-23, white.
Distribution: 
Monotypic: Polytepalum angolense Suess. & Beyerle, known only from Angola.
