Involucral bracts cartilaginous, in a few rows; stereome undivided. Receptacle flat, epaleate. Ray florets female, in 1 row, fewer than disc florets; corolla ?white. Disc florets functionally male; corolla yellow, with glandular hairs, lobes erect. Anthers ecalcarate, shortly caudate; apical appendage ovate, concave, as wide as thecae; endothecial tissue polarised. Style branches obtuse with obtuse sweeping hairs, not reaching the furcation; stigmatic surface basally separated but apically converging(?).
