Description: 
Epiphytic monopodial herbs, with short leafy stems, without pseudobulbs. Leaves distichous, equitant, succulent, arranged in vertical plane forming fan. Inflorescences lateral, short racemes; bracts comparatively large; flowers small, white. Sepals lanceolate, acute to acuminate, free, spreading. Petals lanceolate, free. Lip entire or 3-lobed, with short cylindrical spur. Gynostemium short, without column-foot; anther operculate; pollinia 2, each attached by linear stipe to large ovate viscidium. Capsule ovoid. x= 25 (1 report).
Distribution: 
Species 5, tropical and sthn Afr.; 1 in N KwaZulu-Natal: Bolusiella maudiae (Bolus) Schltr.
